Inge started riding ponies when she was 6 years old. Her grandfather bought her a pony and if the pony became too small, they were switched for a bigger one, till ultimately it became a horse.
Her first horse was Monseigneur and in that time she met Rien. Because of school Rien took over the training of Monseigneur and brought him up till Grand Prix.
In 1981 and 1982 both Rien and Inge were part of the Dutch dressage team on the European championships in Aken and the World championships in Lausanne. Rien with Juroen and Inge with Le-Baby. Both horses were owned by Mrs. Benedictus, she trained Rien and Inge for many years.
A few other horses which Inge competed with are: Waitanghi, Tsjaikovski, Darwin, Indiana-Jones, Odurin, Punto-Banco, Rebell and Weltang.
In 2007 Inge coached Alia Soraya, from Malaysia, in Thailand for the South East Asian games. Alia was very successful, she won the team qualifications and won gold with the team. In november 2010 Inge travelled to China with Alia to coach her for the Asian-Games.
Besides a very elegant and sensitive rider, Inge is also a great teacher with a lot of succesfull students like Liselotte and Florentine Rootveld.
At the moment Inge is riding El Niño and her goal is to start competing him next year.
